How does it work?
Supporters at your web site wishing to contribute click on a flashing credit card icon and are passed to a secure server where their credit card number and the information required by the Federal Elections Commission is recorded. Afterwards, the funds owed to your committee are transferred to your bank, along with the details necessary for accurate disclosure to the FEC.

Is it expensive?
Aristotle offers several cost-effective packages for allowing your organization to accept donations through our secure servers. You do not have to endure several months of system development, costing tens of thousands of dollars that may take years to recoup. What if one of my contributors wants a refund?
Aristotle maintains all of the records necessary to ensure that refunds, although rare, are properly credited to the contributor's account in a timely fashion. Refunds are deducted from the amounts transferred to the campaign.

Will this work with my FEC reporting software?
As with any contribution, you must report the contribution amount and other information to the FEC. Aristotle asks the contributor for this information, and provides it to you in electronic format. If you are using Aristotle's Campaign Manager or PAC Manager software, the data may be automatically imported into the program for easy reporting, and updating of your campaign supporter database. If you are not using Aristotle, you may have to input the data manually.

How secure is Aristotle's Internet Fundraising?
Very secure. We have years of experience operating secure servers handling important and confidential information for governmental and political clients.

Aside from the information volunteered by the contributor, what other information do you provide?
Aristotle is the only company with the ability to screen the name of each contributor against a proprietary database of government records to check that the contributor is a US Voter. This service is provided to registered political organizations. Some states voter files are restricted to political uses and will only be made available to bona fide political organizations for such purposes. What additional information do you provide?
From the registered voter file, we'll also tell you the date-of-birth, congressional and legislative district of the contributor, his or her party affiliation and vote history as maintained by the county or state board of elections. You'll know more about your contributors, and be better able to target solicitations to new prospects with similar demographics This service is provided to registered political organizations. What makes fundraising on the Internet any more effective than traditional methods - candidate call-time, or mail solicitation?
Nothing will ever completely supplant the traditional methods of fundraising. However, thousands of Americans are getting on the Internet for the first time every day, and as a group they are more affluent, more politically active, more aware of the issues facing their nation and their neighborhood, and most importantly of all... they want to get involved.

What methods of payment will be available to my donors?
Aristotle offers the contributor the option of using more credit cards - MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover.

In my current fundraising efforts, I always make a point of having a thank-you note sent to my contributors.
Everyone who donates funds to your election effort will automatically receive a thank-you e-mail from the campaign, which contains your own customizable message.

How do I get started?
